Flourite is a heavy isometric mineral that is prized for its geometric clusters as well as its exquisite coloration. It can be found in most parts of the world though collector-grade specimens are quite rare. Fluorite is used widely for a myriad of industrial purposes; in the production of aluminum, of opalescent glass, enamels, and to create hydrofluoric acid. It is also used in the production of some of the finest telescope and camera lenses.
